Touch/low touch switches, such as the Plate switch (pictured) require less force to activate. They can also be adapted to include sensory components, such as rows of beads for tactile feedback.
Who May Benefit From This Switch?: Low touch switches are ideal for students who have reduced strength, as they do not require a hard press to activate. However, the base switches do not offer the same auditory/tactile feedback as mechanical switches, so they may not be ideal for those with visual/cognitive impairments.
